The glitz and glamour are part of Hollywood celebrities’ lives, but that’s not all there is to their lives. After their hectic schedules for shoots, concerts, and events, these stars go home to their loved ones — their family members, including their pets.
Quite a number of Hollywood stars are proud cat parents. They share snaps of their cuddle moments on social media, and some even let their favorite felines grace events with them. Their adorable cats also become celebrities themselves, oftentimes having their own social accounts with their own followers.
Here are 10 cat-loving celebrities showing off their fluffy pets:
1. Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift truly adores cats. She proudly says that she is a cat lover and enjoys showing off her three adorable felines. She named them after her favorite TV characters: Meredith Grey from Grey’s Anatomy, Olivia Benson from Law and Order SVU, and Benjamin Button.
Her cats are superstars themselves, having appeared in her music videos, Instagram posts, and concert tours. These three cats are living a celebrity life because not only are they Taylor Swift cats, but they are also earning money from their own TV and print ads.
2. Robert Downey Jr.
Robert Downey and his wife, Susan, love cuddling their two favorite cats, Montgomery and Dartanian, nicknamed Monty and Dart.
The Iron Man star adopted these two cats when his friend found them as stray kittens in a bush in West Hollywood. Although not a fan of adopting rescue animals, these two kittens found their way into his heart.
Downey, Jr. loves sharing videos and photos of Monty and Dart. He even said that he can’t imagine life without them.
3. Katy Perry
Katy Perry and her cat, Kitty Purry, were inseparable until her cat passed away in April 2020. Kitty Purry was a cuddly tabby cat who had white markings on her paws and chest.
During the launch of her fragrance line, Meow, Katy confessed that she was not fond of cats when she was growing up, and only liked dogs. But when Kitty Purry came into her life, she said that the cat taught her to be patient, and she likened herself to her because, like a cat, it takes a while for somebody to win her love and affection.
4. Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran and his wife, Cherry Seaborn, lost their first cat, Graham, in 2018. But they now have Dorito, an orange tabby cat, and Calippo, a Scottish fold cat.

Calippo was named after his favorite ice cream treat in the UK. You can check out their photos on their own Instagram account, @TheWibbles, which Sheeran set up for them in 2018.
5. Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian decided to have another cat after her cat, Mercy, died ten years ago of a rare stomach cancer.

6. Martha Stewart
Martha Stewart’s Instagram followers were delighted when she posted photos of her newly adopted Bengal cats.
Stewart named one of the cats Kipling, a twelve-week-old kitten she described as a curious and mischievous feline.

Kate tells PEOPLE magazine that she loves cats more because they are a lot easier to take care of than dogs.
She shows off her behind-the-scenes life every day with her lovable felines, like doing yoga with Clive sitting on top of her shoulder. Unfortunately, Clive died two months ago, leaving her totally heartbroken.
10. Ricky Gervais
Comedian Ricky Gervais lost his cat, Ollie, in 2020. Ollie was with them for 16 years, which is why he and his partner, Jane Fallon, were truly devastated.
Seven months after Ollie’s death, they decided to foster another cat and named him Pickle. It was during the lockdown that they decided to foster some animals, but they ended up adopting Pickle.
Ricky cannot resist Pickle, who loves sitting on his lap. The cat was previously named Catskin at the rescue shelter.
